Doors open at 6:30pm for mixing and mingling and a light meal. Program begins at 7pm.
Members and guests are both welcome. Admission is included in membership. Non-members are $10/each.
Childcare is available if reserved 1 week in advance.
Continuing Education Units approved by the Texas State Board of Social Workers Examiners will be available to interested attendees at an additional cost.

What do you think it would be like to never know who you were when you were born? The film follows Dave and Joe as they embark on journeys to find their origins. Their heartwarming sagas, with their unexpected and moving conclusions, illuminate the impact secrets can have over an entire lifetime. Adopted: For the life of Me is one of those films that will stay with you long after you witness it.

Following the film, we will discuss the impact state laws have on adoptees and how the state of Texas treats adoptees. It will also help us understand how open adoptions can benefit adoptees.
