Talking to Your Kids About Adoption
Please join us on Friday, November 6, as Kathie Otte, MSW, and an adoptive parent, will discuss the all important topic of Talking to Your Child about Adoption. She will go over each stage of child development, what the child can understand at each stage, and how best to present their adoption story to the child. She will answer questions such as, When should I start talking about it?, What do I say to a 3 year old?, and When do I introduce difficult information? Christi Megow will assist in recommending books and other materials to help parents.
