Annual Celebration of Adoption Picnic- Oct 14th

The picnic is less than one month away! Get ready for some serious fun for the whole family, including: hay rides, putt-putt golf, a petting zoo, face painting, a DJ, and more! The fun starts at 3:00PM. This year's venue is Regal Ranch, located in Stafford (near Sugar Land), just 15 minutes southwest of Houston.




AFH's Fall Family Scavenger Hunt- Nov 3rd

Join us at Brazos Bend State Park for a family friendly scavenger hunt & nature walk and get to know other AFH members (+bring your own picnic!)

For the non walkers, our Baby Beluga group will meet by the Pavilion. We will have quilts for babies to play on. *Please bring an outdoor blanket and your child's favoriite toy.

Educational Program: Screenagers - Nov 9th

Join us for a screening of the documentary Screenagers, followed by a discussion. Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and a six-second attention span? Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw that with her own kids. She wondered about the impact of all this time and about the friction occurring in homes and schools around negotiating screen time—friction she knew all too well.
